This game surprised me a lot. I started my download not expecting much since the game was made in the early 1989 and had only around 100 kb. However I am pleased to say that this is a very interesting game and enjoyable game. The player has a choice of playing USA or USSR. The goal of the game is to earn points by expanding the influence of your chosen superpower, while avoiding nuclear holocaust. Balance of Power (1990 edition) starts in 1990, which by itself was an interesting era, during which Cold War came to an end. This game gives you a chance to, in effect change the future, and keep this gigantic battle going on for a while longer. As a superpower you have all the necessary equipment to produce a hellish nightmare for your opponent. You can aid dissidents, initiate coup de tas and many more things. But don’t think that your counterpart will take your moves towards global domination easily, they will confront you, and you will need to know when to back down, or both of you will not live to see tomorrow. The concepts this game incorporates are too extensive for me to describe here, and anyway a file this size would probably already have downloaded while you were reading this review. Suffice it to say, the game offers you command of one of the two superpowers in the Cold War era, with everything that entails. Give it a try, and you’ll be glad you did.

In balance of power personifichiamo il leader degli Stati Uniti in difesa degli interessi del nostro paese nelle varie zone del mondo.L’obiettivo e’ di accrescere il proprio prestigio facendo in maniera tale che l’avversario non stringa alleanze vantaggiose con nazioni di una certa importanza nello scenario geopolitica mondiale cosa che invece andra’ fatta da noi.Il gioco e’ alquanto complicato per padroneggiarlo completamente sono necessarie svariate ore di gioco e penso un attento studio del manuale.Purtroppo detto manuale non e’ presente sul sito quindi partire da zero e’ un gran bel macello(all’interno del gioco stesso viene esplicitamente detto che senza manuale si va poco lontano).Se avete la pazienza e la crania per avanzare buon per voi:la politica mondiale potrebbe avere presto un nuovo protagonista.Senza infamia e senza lode.
