Ce jeux est assez complexe ŕa comprendre mais un fois que vous l'avez compris vous devenez acros! Ce rpg nous offre la possiilité de choisir la race et l'allignement du personnage principal(un peu comme baldur's gate). Ensuite il nous donne le choix de répartir 6 point de base dans les différentes statistiques( dungeon&dragon ). Un fois le personnage créé ,il vous apporte dans le monde de Mordor
ou un dongeon infesté de créature vous attends. Lorsque vous jouez le maître du dongeon intervient quelques fois pour vous attribuer différentes quętes. Il y a aussi l'option de créer un groupe d'aventurier avec les autres personnages que vous avez créés.Vous pouvez aussi acheter vendre et trouver des objets et armes que vous vous servirez dans les dungeon. Des guildes a qui vous pourrez faire augmenter vos niveau sont mis ŕ votre disposition.

Męme si vous devenez un maniac de ce jeu il vous faudra affronté aussi ces défaults. Le jeux offre divers niveau mais il revient toujours ŕ la męme chose, descendre dans les dungeons, tuer des créatures et revenir se soigner ŕ la ville. Lorsque l'un de nos companions meurt il faut allé le chercher dans le dungeon ,le ramener ŕ la ville et le faire revivre grace ŕ la morgue, opération que vous ferez souvent, souvent, souvent ...

L'interface est assez simple ŕ utiliser. De plus un tutorial est mis ŕ votre disposition pour comprendre les différentes partis du jeux. Lorsque l'on se promene dans les dungeon une fenetre s'ouvre et l'on voit le dungeon en 3d mais l'on doit avancer image par image comme les anciens jeu style (catacomb 3D)

Les créature que l'on voit son représentées par de simple image et a part le dungeon aucun endroit est représenté visuellement en 3D ce qui baisse la note ŕ 5.On ne voit pas les alliés, ni les coffre, ni les objets, ni les magie ,ni les armes, sur la map et dans le dongeon.

Son midi assez simple mais avec tout de męme quel son d'ambiance comme des grognement dans les dungeons.Ce qui est bien ces que lorsque un personnage voit son énergie au sueil critique un son ce fait entendre. La musique est bonne au départ mais vous la désactiverez bien assez vite faite moi confiance.

Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol reste un bon rpg de style dungeon&dragon (qui fait un peu pensez ŕ baldur's gate) basé sur d'autre jeu de rpg, avec de l'action et une possibilité de devenir plus puissant en montant de niveau. Je recommande ce jeu au gens qui ne s'interesse pas seulement au graphique d'un jeux mais a sa jouabilité.

All the negative comments on this game can be summed up with the words ‘almost nothing’. This game is great! I thought I had played all the dungeon romp type games like this when they came out many years ago but in this case I am happy to be wrong!

Create a character. There are almost too many choose from. With 9 or 10 races to choose from and a LIST of character classes you can pretty much do what you want in this game. 4 different variations of spell caster, half a dozen warrior types, a handful of thief classes and unless you choose a limited race (see my Warrior Giant as an example) most of you can get to be EVERY class at some point. There are Tomes and Potions that can be found and bought that raise natural stats until they max out your races abilities! Then add the magic items and you are far and away the biggest, baddest son of a gun in the dungeon! There are 15 levels (each level a 30x30 hex grid so there is a LOT to explore on each) and each one gets progressively harder. On certain levels there are special fights used to complete the level and there are the QUESTS. The guilds give them out. It might be as simple as go kill X monster or it might be as difficult as go become a God! The spells are well rounded and can be used as you jump from one class to another even if you are now a Thief instead of the goody-goody healer you were a few levels ago. And you can hop back and forth. Join one guild and get a few levels and new spells (if there are any to be had with the new class) and then switch back over to your old Guild (the Guilds don’t mind!) And the gold! Millions and Millions of weightless gold pieces out there for you.

A good idea for hard game is to run a two character party and switch classes and an easier party is a 4 person group. Initially in either case make a warrior type and go hacking up the 1st level and get them up 10 or 15 levels. The areas the fighter clears will stay mapped for your mages and even still show the water and teleporter trap areas. Then bring your low hit point mages in cautiously (until around 4th level the guilds will pay for your resurrections after that you better have some of that gold!) Once they have a level or three you can have the magic user request that your warrior join him. The experience in this game is given as follows: Who fights, gets! If your magic user does all the fighting he gets all the exp save for when the warrior takes hits on his behalf. You never have to fight the warrior and he will act as silent but solid shield on behalf of the magic user (not that he blocks all, you still have to be careful)

This game reminds me a great deal of AD&D in many ways (not the least of which is the long sets of rules) as it is a game designed around the RPG with the entire idea of NO GUTS & NO GLORY (gory?) as you hack the hell out of the evil monsters that stand in your way. Go in and kill and then grab the gold! This is an absolutely fantastic game in every way!

Dugo vremena razmišljajući kako da počnem ovu recenziju
odlučih ,, ova igra spada među najzanimljivije FRP(RPG)
igre svih vremena onaj koji voli FRP mora odigrati
ovu igru bar 10 puta jer ova igra je nešto od čega lako
postaneš ovisan.

Palim igru i krećem kad ono ispred mene se pojavi menu
iz kamenog doba bg sound nešto viče ali reko haj kad sam
odlučio da zaigram i zaigram je izaberem lika
u igri je moguće izabrati 8 rasa među kojima su:

HUMAN , ELF , GIANT , GNOME , DWARF ,OGRE , MORLOCH ,OSIRI

Ja se odlučim rasu pod imenom ELF jer mi se činila
najboljom odmah u početku prilikom namještanja STATS
pojena mogu ući u 2 Guild NOMAD i SORCERER.

i polako odem u prodavnicu i nabavim Sword , Shield , Gloves
i krenem u Dungeon - pećinu i počnem jačati u početku sam
bio Level 1 kao NOMAD (Nomad je guild u kojoj svojim razvijanjem dobivate Hit points na našem jeziku energiju)
i tako igrajući dođem do Level 31 , jedan me prijatelj
upita sto do 31 zašto nećeš više ,, ma rekoh sto bi
kad nakon 30 levela dobivam samo +1 energije a do 30 levela sam dobivao po 5.

Igra sadrži mnogo predmeta kao npr jedan od boljih shield
je onaj koji ste vidjeli u filmu Lord of the rings 1
Mithril Shield ali naravno moracete mnogo znoja proliti
dok ojačate i dok ga mognete kupiti igra sto se tice
Level jacine to jest Stepena nema granica jedino sto vas
moze zaustaviti su godine

Evo mene opet novi dan palim svoj komp i nastavljam Mordor
trenutno stanje moga borca je Wizard lv. 78 hah smrsavio sam 10 kila dok sam dotle dosao kad ono ja Guild Master
Moj bivsi ucitelj magije je meni ustupio mjesto ucitelja hehehe sada sam ja ucitelj i dobivam Crest of Wizard
pogledah info kad ono stats +3 +2 +1 tu sam prestao i igrati sa tim borcem i poceo sa novim jer mi se cinilo da je prejak.

UKRATKO:

-Igra posjeduje 10 faza u kojima je vas cilj razviti lika
u jednoj od nekoličine Guilds na sto veći nivo
-Igra ima losu grafiku tako da nemate sta ocekivati od 3D
grafike ukoliko vas 3D zanima cekajte do 1.05.2003 kad izlazi konacni MORDOR II : Infinite Worlds
-Zvuk u igri skoro i ne postoji , ali ustvari i netreba
jer dok igrate zaboravićete na sve što se dešava oko vas

Nakon instalacije koja je zauzela kojih 6-7 MB pokrenuo sam ovu naizgled dosadnu igricu. Poslije pročitanih uputa o igranju počeo sam sa kreiranjem lika. Nakon tri sata igranja, koja su prošla kao deset minuta, promijenio sam mišljenje o ovoj igrici...

Grafika nije nešto posebno ali to nije toliko važno ako se uzme u obzir da se igrica može igrati na Windowsima 3.11
Pozadinski zvuk zna biti iritirajući nakon nekog vremena ali postoji opcija da se zvuk isključi pa to nije neki problem.

Prije nego što počnete igrati morate kreirati svoj lik. Kreiranje lika se sastoji iz odabira rase (možete birati između : human, elf, osiri, dwarf, giant, gnome, ogre i morloch), davnje imena svom liku, određivanje kako će lik biti usmjeren (good, neutral, evil) i raspoređivanja bodova na statistike. Svaka rasa ima različite osobine kao što su maksimalni braj godina koji rasa može doživjeti, otpornosti na određene protivničke napade, itd.
Imate različita udruženja (gulds) u koja se možete učlaniti
i na početku krećete kao nomad ali s vremenom se možete učlaniti u neka druga. Svako udruženje daje određene sposobnosti kao što su magije itd.
Nakon što ste kreirali i opremili svog lika odlazite u tamnicu (dungeon) gdje se borite protiv raznovrsnih neprijatelja, skuplate zlato, nove iteme i bodove iskustva
(experience points). Što dublje silazite u tamnicu to neprijatelji postaju teži za ubiti ali itemi koje nalazite su bolji i vrijednost kad ih prodajete je veća. Što više bodova iskustva skupljate to više napredujete u udruženjima i dobivate nove magije. Nakon što prestignete vođu udruženja od njega dobnivate jedan specijalni item koji vam povećava statisike i daje vam određene sposobnosti, što ovisi u kojem ste udruženju prestigli vođu.

Ovu igricu toplo preporučujem svima koji vole RPG igrice (i imaju mnogo slobodnog vremena jer je igrica izrazito zarazna) i onoma koji ih tek počinju igrati. Mada se nekome ko tek počinje igrati može učiniti komplikovanom nakon nekoliko vremena postaje lakom za igranje.

Ik kan niets anders zeggen van dit spel dan dat het een zeer fantastisch, verbazingwekkend simpel, ontzettend uitgebreid, heel leuk te spelen, zeer verslavend en goed is om je helemaal in te leven. Nee, dit is niet waar. Ik kan er nog veel meer over zeggen en dat ga ik doen ook. Je begint op het scherm waar je een character moet maken. Hier kan je kiezen uit verschillende rassen, je stats (might, dexterity, wisdom, intelligence, charisma en constitution), je naam, je start-guild of ook wel class en, wat zo uniek is aan dít spel: je 'alignment' (good, neutral of evil). Je alignment affecteert alles. In welke guilds je kan komen, welke wapens je kan hanteren, welke spells je neemt, of je bepaalde potions kan drinken enzovoorts. Als je bijvoorbeeld een good potion of intelligence hebt, en jij bent goed, dan ga je een intelligence omhoog. Is de potion neutral, dan gebeurt er niets. Maar als je een evil potion hebt en je bent good, dan gaat er 1 intelligence áf in plaats van bij. Ook een leuk iets aan mordor is het feit dat je met enorme bedragen aan geld werkt, die telkens meer worden :). Zo heb ik op een gegeven moment 64,324,532 gold pieces gehad. Nou, dan ben je binnen. Dan ben je in de stad. Daar zit je dan bij (meestal) de nomads guild. in de stad ga je dan naar de optie guilds en dan krijg je ze allemaal te zien. Daar zie je dat je levels omhoog kan gaan in een guild, naar andere guilds kan gaan en je daar in kan schrijven, mits je de juiste stats hebt en een volle portomonnee. Je kan daarna, als je een tijdje voor mage hebt gespeeld weer terug gaan naar je ouwe nomads guild omdat je daar heel snel omhoog gaat en je voor bepaalde wapens een bepaald level nodig hebt in een guild. Het overstappen in guilds is helemaal niet erg, dat vinden de guilds niet erg. Soms als je een level omhoog bent gegaan dan geeft de 'questmaster' van die guild je een quest. Zo'n quest kan van alles inhouden. Versla een bepaald monster, ja, dat is mogelijk en dat gebeurt ook meestal, soms moet je een item terug brengen, wat makkelijk kan zijn maar als je pech hebt is het een zeer zeldzaam en duur item. Dan kan je al je spaargeld gaan uitgeven om zoiets te kopen :(. Verder is er, dat heb ik zelf nooit gehad maar het schijnt wel mogelijk te zijn, krijg je nog véél moeilijkere quests, namelijk dingen zoals -kazoink- een god worden. Ja, dan ben je de pineut :(. Het ontdekken van dungeons is een oeroud principe, dat begon met 'rogue' (wie kent hem niet, een ASCII spel dat vereeuwigd is :D) en zelfs nu nog voorkomt. Hier echter is het zeer netjes uitgewerkt en ik vind dat het best wel een commendatie verdient! Een van de leukere dingen is trouwens dat je items kan uitwisselen met andere characters. Dat doe ik wel eens met mijn broertje. Er zijn nog veel meer dingen die je kan opschrijven over dit spel, maar ik zal een paar mogelijkheden even in het kort opsommen: -Als je doodbent, kunnen andere spelers je in de dungeon ophalen en resurrecten
-Als een speler de dungeon heeft ontdekt, kan de ander ook zien wat er zit in die dungeon, met andere woorden: eens ontdekt, altijd ontdekt
-Een gigantisch arsenaal aan spells (ik geloof meer dan 100)
-ongeveer 12 guilds waarbij je je kan aanmelden (voor een prijs)
-gigantisch veel soorten quests
-nog veel meer!

Als je het hebt/gaat kopen/het weer beschikbaar wordt gesteld, veel plezier ermee, het is echt een super spel! :)))

Celkem hezký dungeon tak trochu ze staré školy. Běhá jenom pod Window$, ale to mu nijak neubírá na 'kráse', ale ani nijak nepřidává. Technicky se jedná o Wokenní rej, všechno je všeude nějaké okno. Začínáte generováním postavy ve stylu Wizardry, což není nijak objevné, ale stačí to. Pak se ocitáte ve městě, kde máte několik možností. Nakoupíte tedy výbavy, vyzbrojíte geroje, povzdechnete nad neuvěřitelně drahým magickým náčiním a jdete do podzemí. První co zjistíte, že bitky nemůžete ovlivnit. Vstoupíte do místnosti, napadne Vás příšera (o čemž Vás informuje jedno z mnoha woken) a jen sledujete, jak dostává(te) na budku. Pak dostanete nějaké ty exp a gold a pokračujete. Hra není moc invenční, malinko připomíná hru Demise, ale tato je přece jen horší. Na druhou stranu se autoři snažili. Co je například novinka (která je ovšem u multiplayerových her běžné) je existence tzv. márnice. Její účel spočívá v tom, že nejste jediný hrdina, který se vydává do nebezpečných podzemí, takže pokud zemřete, je jistá šance, že Vás po několika dnech najdou a šoupnou do márnice, kde se Vás mohou pokusit obživit. Ovšem, existuje jen určitá pravděpodobnost, záleží na tom, jak dlouho tlejí Vaše kosti v podzemí (mě tam tlely 45 dní a měl jsem šanci asi 96%, takže se nemusíte bát umřít :-)). S tím souvisí ovšem ztráta jistých exp a gold, ale tak už to bývá, že nic není zadarmo. Dobrým nápadem je si 'zakoupit' nějakého toho pobočníka, abyste nechodili do podzemí sami. V Zoo si můžete vybrat třeba Kobolda nebo Orka, kteří Vás pak provázejí, ale pozor! Hodně záleží na jejich morálním přesvědčení, jinak Vás opustí nebo dokonce napadnou! Můžete dokonce po té svou družinu rozdělit a pátrat na několika místech najednou. Vzhledem k tomu, že celá hra je dělaná ve Visual Basicu (zřejmě), je dost možné, že postaviček v partě můžete mít více jak čtyři či šest. Grafika není zlá, ale stále se opakuje - je jí velice málo. Rovněž doporučuji zmenši rozlišení na alespoň 800x600, abyste z té grafiky vůbec něco měli - menší okénko nemají ani RPG od SSI. Sice Vás potom omámí smršť oken, ale nevadí, ikonek je všude dost. Hudba je MIDI a docela nepovedené, doporučuji vypnout. O něco lépe jsou na tom WAV zvuky, kterých je ale opět málo, ačkoliv jsou celkem hezké. Nejlepší na hře je tedy její propracovanost a pokud Vám to stačí ke štěstí, chvíli se u ní budete bavit. Z mého hlediska se jedná o zcela průměrný titul, ani špatný, ani dobrý.

Historien i Mordor er ikke-eksisterende. Lad det bare vćre sagt, at du har besluttet at gĺ en tur ned i dybet for at drćbe monstrene, tage deres skatte og forvandle dig til en superhelt.

Mordor er et ganske typisk tilfćldigt genereret computer rollespil. Kortet er ganske vist fast, men indholdet af hulen udskiftes lřbende med ny monstre og skatte.

Du kan kontrollere mellem 1 og 4 personer i Mordor, og der kan faktisk, til forskel fra de fleste spil, betale sig at tage fćrre personer. Det er ganske enkelt meget lettere at administrere én eller to personer, og da der er fuld frihed til at skifte personers klasse undervejs, mister man ikke nogle evner pĺ det.

Alt i Mordor er vanvittigt dyrt, sĺ det siger sig selv, at du er nřdt til at skaffe sĺ mange penge som muligt. Da du desuden skal bruge de sjćldne břger og drikke, der kan forřge dine evner, er der jo kun ét at gřre: Ud og slĺ pĺ uhyrerne! Til det formĺl kan du bruge forskellige vĺben eller trylleformularer (vĺben er klart bedst), afhćngigt af din nuvćrende klasse.

Man bruger meget tid pĺ at skifte rundt mellem sine forskellige klasser, sĺ de alle kan komme pĺ et rimeligt niveau, og man bliver rigtigt sej. Desvćrre har spillet et ondt system, hvor man nogle gange bliver pĺtvunget en opgave, fřr man kan stige i niveau. Er man sĺ uheldig, at det er en opgave, der ikke rigtigt kan lřses, sĺ mĺ man opgive 2-4 niveauer, der sĺledes skal vindes tilbage. Rammer man endnu en ond opgave, mens man er i gang med det, ja, sĺ er det bare ekstra surt.

Mordor er en lille verden i sig selv; du kan frit skifte personer og bytte rundt pĺ dem imellem de forskellige grupper. Spillet holder řje med alle dine personer, sĺ hvis Billy Blod dřr nede pĺ andet niveau, kan du sende Sara Sćk ned for at hente hans lig; sĺ sparer du lidt penge pĺ de firmaer, der har specialiseret sig i at finde eventyrernes lig nede i hulen.

Grafikken i Mordor er grim. Alt er opdelt i et virvar af vinduer. Ét af dem er dit 3D udsyn, de andre holder styr pĺ ting som dit kort, dit udstyr, dine personlige monstre (ja, dem kan man ogsĺ fĺ med sig) og meget andet. Det er et frygteligt rod, og det kan vćre meget besvćrligt at navigere rundt i menusystemet. Lyden i Mordor er stort set drćbende kedsommelig.

Det skal nćvnes, at Mordor fĺs i en shareware version, hvor du maksimalt kan gĺ ned pĺ tredje underniveau af hulen (det er sĺ langt som jeg er kommet, og dér er der meget barskt!), og en fuld version med et utal af niveauer, flere monstre og mange flere skatte. Spillet er ganske sjovt og vanedannende, selv i shareware versionen, men er til tider ogsĺ frustrerende svćrt. Save-systemet er ondt, spillet saver gladelig, nĺr du gĺr i dřden. Der er et backup system, men det er besvćrligt at bruge. Dřden er dog ikke permanent, men ofte stćrkt irriterende, da dine evner typisk forringes, nĺr du vćkkes til live, og sĺ er det ogsĺ sygeligt dyrt.

Som en sidste advarsel, mĺ jeg lige sige, at du skal passe pĺ med at eksperimentere med dine trylleformularer. Jeg mistede min bedste karakter, da jeg blev teleporteret ind i en klippeblok, og nu er jeg nřdt til at trćne en ny person, der bliver stćrk nok til at kunne fĺ den fřrste fri igen.

it's been 7 years since i've played this game
and i've spent a lot of time playing it
what really stood out the most in this game was that it had options no other game could offer,first there was the character generation wich had nearly unlimited possibilities
for creating the dufus to your liking,however as any novice,u will be likely to choose the giant or the troll.
at first those would seem the strongest type
mind u,those guys are not easy to work with since they also have limitations,like age and such
after creating 1 character,u could also create another ,and,should ur first character die ,you can pick him up later with ur second character.
do try to balance ur guys out,cuz it's sheer impossible to pick ur 20 level mage up with ur 3d level warrior when he died in the 4th level.because with each level it also gets extremely harder.
u wil need better and stronger,more able characters to survive the next level.
and i'm not even mentioning the hazards you're supposed to outlive.
take water,for instance.
hey no problem,i can swim.forget it,your character WILL become tired after a while swimming and drown.and in a battle with sea monsters,that counts double as for damage
water DOES damage when ur tired.
should you die,wich is bound to happen,you do have several options for retrieving your guy,tough it's been a long time
i think you can launch rescue parties,but it costs you dearly and will affect your age(weeks,months,it took them that long to find your man)and as levels progress,it will be even harder for the rescue party to find him.
to prevent the untimely death of your character,you can make more characters and put them all together in 1 group.
the amount of men or the quality depends solely upon you
as the variations are limitless.for instance,you can put that 13th level mage with your 3d level warrior.
this would probably keep the warrior alive for a lot longer.
but when encountering hazards,wich normally any high level character could survive,your warrior probably will not,and should both of ur guys die,you REALLY have a problem.
you can go off and search for your missing characters with another one,thus you wont have to pay for rescue parties but the risks of retrieving them are all yours.
MONEY:
next problem in most cases is money.yes,even in this backwater hole every weapon,shield or tome costs you a lot of money,even resurection depends on it,and should you fall short off it and your character dies u will have no choice to start over with another character.also do keep in mind that any money you have earned should be kept in the bank
to prevent stealing by monsters or loss by death.(extremely frustrating)
in the main menu you can also choose to buy a companion,if u think u need more firepower.
do not forget that these creatures are 'bound',wich means that if you don't bind them again(by paying for it in the zoo),their certain amount of bounds will enivetably break after a while and you will lose them or they will turn on you(damage done to the creature or certain events could trigger a 'bind' loss)
also,if you happen to have a very good mage or sorcerer you can capture these creatures in the dungeons and sell them off to the 'zoo'(the one that keeps all animals and enemies in a bound condition).
do mind that there is something i had to warn you for a while back.
THE ALIGNMENT:neutral,evil,good
eveything,weapons,tomes or creatures are aligned with these forces.for the full effect of a weapon to take place one must be aligned properly with the object or sometimes pay dire consequences.(i.e.tomes)
for example.should u be a good character using an evil tome,the effects will be reverse-engineered and instead of gaining stats,u will lose stats
is your creature evil aligned then it will most likely turn on you faster than if it was properly aligned.
(goddam,i really feel like playing it again,don't you?)

you also have a LIBRARY

any creature you meet will become noted in your personal library
kills,encounters and how many times characters died at the hands of this creature as well as a short description of the creature appears.keep any information u find in mind,because bound creatures also have abilities that you can use for your own advantage

u also got classes and guilds who offer special bonuses as you rise in level.

it's been a long time so i dont remember it anymore
anyway,i hope you have all found these hints and tips helpfull in your first steps in mordor.

One of the most underrated game on PC, it's long longetivity and seems overshadowed by its simplicity and lack of flashy details. However if one takes a better look at this, they would find an impressive game that would last a while. It doesn't require much resources (RAM) to run, takes relatively little space, and doesn't have any compatibility problems in my knowledge (I ran it on Win 3.x and XP).

Difficulty level. It's fair hard to survive in the dungeon unless you take your time leveling. Even at the beginning with a high constitution/strength giant, you may find yourself dying fairly easily if you are not careful.


Pro
- Lots of options in creation of your characters, up to 7 different races and more than 10 different guild to be in.
- Longetivity. It takes a while for you to explore a single level and each one has its good share of secret passages. Then consider there are more than 10 levels to explore, each harder than the previous.
- Easy to use interface. I didn't have much trouble understanding what each thing does when I first played it.
- Back up option. Just in case something happens to your original files or that you want to restore your character if he died or got Rocked (of course it's not suppose to be used that way :D ).

Con:
- Lack of high quality sound and graphics. The monsters are basically repetitive icons next to the dungeon view. The insect death cry sounded like someone fast forwarded through their voice.
- Awkward resizing. Not everything fits in one window and dragging those windows that you can see can be annoying.
- Lack of storyline. Nothing in the background indicates what's going on. They are fixing that up in Mordor 2 and Demise but still it's suppose to be an RPG.

There is no plot in Mordor. Suffice it to say that you have decided that now is the time to take a walk in the dungeon, kill the monsters, steal their treasures and become a mighty hero. Mordor is a fairly typical randomly generated dungeon. Though the map is always the same, the contents of the rooms change all the time.

You create 1-4 characters, and for a change you don’t really have to create the maximum number of characters. Actually the game is much easier to manage with just one or two characters. Since you have complete freedom to change class during the game (except that it costs money and requires minimum stats to enter a new class for the first time), you won’t necessarily miss out on any abilities.

Everything in Mordor costs money, and exceedingly large amounts of it, so you have to keep running around the dungeon to find equipment and cash. You also need to find rare potions and tomes that will allow you to increase your stats and thus enter new classes. Some classes can really only be obtained through intensive adventuring.

The game comes with a truly annoying level advancement system, where you run the risk of being given a quest, which isn’t always possible to complete. You can then give it up, but this typically costs you 2-4 levels. Should you run into another quest while regaining the lost ones, you will soon start cursing.

Mordor is a small world in itself. You are allowed to change between playing with different characters and can shuffle them around in groups, exchange their gold and equipment. The game continully watches your characters, so if Billy Blood dies on level 2, you can send down Sassy Sally to bring his body back, rather than hire professionals to recover his body. Death is still a bad thing, since ressurrection is expensive, and you almost always lose stats, when ressurrected.

The game happily saves all the time, and whenever a character dies, you can be sure that the game saves. There is a backup system, but using it to keep your characters alive is a hassle. Obviously the programmers wanted you to die repeatedly.

You get Mordor in a shareware version with just 3 levels, but I have never gotten any further any way, since the game is so hard. In the complete version the programmers claim that there are 100 levels... Graphics are ugly and very confusing. There are windows all over the place and navigating them can be a real pain. Sound is extremely limited.

As a last word of warning, you should be careful about experimenting with spells. My best character teleported herself into a rock and is now stuck there until I can get a new character to a high enough level to cast the spell to free her.

Ive been playing this a lot over the last few days, and I have to say im torn. Either its a superb open ended rpg or... its a turkey. In many ways this game is like frontier (anyone remeber frontier: elite 2?), but i'll get to that later. Lets start from the top: Mordor - what is it?
This is a windows based, open ended rpg. The control system is very simple, the graphics almost non-existant, and the plot conspicuous by its absence. You create a dungeons and dragons type character from a selection of races, buy your starting equipment, and off you go into the dungeon. Where you will die. And again. And again. And again... The only real way to avoid this repeated death is by levelling up endlessly, untill you stop getting your arse handed to you on level one (round level 20, about 2 hours good play).
As you advance your character you can find tomes and potions and various other items to raise your 'natural statistics' making it possible for you to join more interesting guilds, gaining a range of different spells and abilities. I'll be entirely honest - i havent had much experience with the spell system yet, because my giant is class restricted from joining most guilds, and my human characters keep getting owned on far to regular a basis. From what ive read in the manual it seems like a pretty good system though. Sadly all the skills are passive (they just alter the results of dice rolls made on your behalf, the results of which you are never told) and class restriction is ANNOYING!
The plusses - the game is open ended, very adicted, probably goes on forever (i've got down to level four of the dungeon after a couple fo days play, and its SOLID). It also saves continually to add a bit of immediacy and risk. If you die, you load up/create/train another character and go get yourself, or wait for rerscuers. Either way it costs a lot of dough to get resurected and you often lose stats. Additionally there is a nice quest system built in, where to level up you must get a certain objet, or kill a certain monster or whatever. In theory you can ask the town sage where they are, but i wouldnt bother (it costs a lot, and the sage seems to always be wrong). The automap feature is excellent, letting you keep track of everywhere you've been, and everything youve done.
On the negative side, items/weapons/spells/guilds are all restricted by allignment, race, level in current guild etc ad infinitum... most of the time you can't use the junk that you find, and how can you tell? you id. it... and how do you id. it... it costs money. Money you can only get by selling said items. And of course, if you want them back then they'll cost you 2/3 imes what you paid for them. It gets frustrating. Like the constant levelling up - and even when you're powerfull you can't just collect the next three or four levels of experience then do them all at once, because your xp gets pinned after a level. WHY i aks you? And the sounds effects, my god, dont get me started on the sound effects. I guess painfull is the only word that really fits the bill. The music's kinda cute though.

So - how does this relate to frontier... Frontier was an open ended game with unlimited options that were, essentially, all the same. However you played it it was the same game, and after a while it should have gotten tedious, but if you were a masochistic soul like me (hehe) then it didn't because you really WANTED the next ship, or the next elite level. This is the same - if your not really into this sort of thing, dont bother, get an rpg with a plot, and graphics. However, if you secretly enjoy endlessly levelling up to try and get just a bit deeper into the dungeon, give it a shot. Just be aware when generating you character of what limitations your putting on yourself through your choice of stats/race and allignment. Example - my giant only has 8 dexterity, so i cant use any weapons or armour. A dexterity tome will cost you i million gold to id (have to make sure its for the right allignment or it wont work...) or about 3 million to buy. You get the idea. Hell, i love it :)

Mordor er et af de bedste Rollespil jeg har prřvet. Desvćrre er dette den fřrste version. Der findes nemlig en nyere udgave, hvor der er bedre og mere grafik, og mange flere muligheder. Selvom dette er den gamle version, er der stort set uendelige muligheder for hvordan man vil opbygge sin figur. Der er forskellige racer, forskellige 'guilds' hvor man udvikler sin figur, og et utal af forskellige vĺben og magier. Nĺr man har oprettet en figur, skal man křbe nogle begyndervĺben, for derefter at bevćge sig ned i de dunkle kćldergange under byen. Der findes masser af forskellige monstre og uhyrer, der bliver stćrkere og střrre jo lćngere man kommer ned. Nĺr man kommer et nyt sted bliver det tegnet ind pĺ et kort, sĺ man altid kan se hvor man har vćret. Ligeledes bliver monstrene og udstyret man finder skrevet ind i bibliotekets bog hvor man kan studere de forskellige monstre og deres hyppighed i kćldrene. Nĺr man har vćret nede i gangene og vender tilbage til byen, kan man sćlge eventuelt udstyr og monstre, man har medbragt. Man kan ogsĺ udvikle sin figur, hvis man da har erfaring og penge nok. Selvom man skulle dř, kan man hvis man er heldig betale sig til live igen, og derefter gĺ ned og hćvne sig pĺ monster der drćbte en. Der er utrolig mange levels og nye monstre hele tiden, og man fřler ikke man kan fĺ sin figur stćrk nok. Man kan nemlig altid udvikle sin figur, og blive en anelse stćrkere end sidst man var nede i kćlderen. Og hvis der gĺr fĺr lang tid, dukker der nye monstre op hvor man allerede har vćret. Mordor er et simpelt spil, lavet i Delphi, uden den store grafik og lyd, men det er heller ikke nřdvendigt, da selve spillet har alt hvad man skal bruge. Man bliver aldrig fćrdig med Mordor, der vil altid vćre noget man ikke har prřvet. Det er utroligt spćndende og se om man kan komme lidt lćngere ned i kćlderen, og om man kan fĺ sin figur lidt stćrkere end i gĺr. Slřvt i grafik og lyd, men et af de bedste gameplay jeg nogensinde har prřvet. Med Mordor har man til mange timers underholdning. Utrolig godt spil.

Leesett az állam, amint megláttam a Mordort a top letöltések között és mint friss tag, gondoltam, megosztom veletek véleményemet erről a 'játékról'. Iszonyatos élményt jelentett nekem ez a program, pedig nagy oldcrpg mániákus vagyok. A kezdetben lelkesítő összetettség mellett a Mordor nem más, mint tápolás, tárgyakkal való üzérkedés, lénygyakás és megint csak tápolás...A küldetések sem jelentenek szífoltot a nem létező történetben, hisz olyanok, mintha nem is lennének: Ölj meg egy Namanát, talál egy lemezpáncélt stb., egyszóval csupa olyan dolog, melyeket egyébként is tennénk. Lehet, sokan azt mondják, hogy hát ilyen egy jó dungeon hack(igaz, engem már a Dungeon Hack(Forgotten Realms) is az őrületbe kergetett), de kérdem én, ki nem kap pánikrohamot, mikor 2 délutánt azzal tölt el, hogy egy kis térképen, idegborzoló(a szó negatív értelmében) hanghatásokkal felvértezett lényeket írt minden cél és történeti háttér nélkül(én azt az egyoldalas odaköpött vackot a help lessonben nem vettem háttértörténetnek). Az egészben az a legszomorúbb, hogy a rendszer tényleg jó(tulajdonképpen ADnD), a sokféle tárgy is nagyon szép munka, de aztán itt meg is állhatunk, ennyi!
Remélem, sok embert sikerült lebeszélni arról, hogy ezzel a szörnyűséggel frusztrálja magát. Most búcsúzom, igérem, legközelebb valami vidámabbat írok egy frankóbb játékról.

This is a must play game for RPG’ers. It never made big headlines when it came out but if you like the 2D graphics type, you can’t do a lot better than this for the PC. By today’s standards the graphics are a bit ‘flat’ and the music is a bit tinny (the sound effects are cool, especially when you get paralyzed or when you sever something) but this is still a fun game. I keep coming back to it and enjoying the building (and rebuilding) of characters. With a combination of Races, Guilds and Alignments you can have a great time just trying to get the right type of character together. Once your character is rolling, if you don’t like the guild chosen, join another (providing your statistics allow for it!) While you are growing your characters, the hundreds of items, the dozens of spells and the multiples of Guild specific attributes (including becoming the Guild Master) make nearly endless combinations possible. It will take some time to get your characters up in levels especially in a group (though multiple character parties are safer) but the game is fun, fun, fun. You can even use your Mage to do mind controls on creatures and bring them back and sell them. Then when you want some extra muscle, hire along a monster to help you out! Try this out.
The game requires only little in the way of resources on the PC running it and I have had it work well in both a WIN95/98/2000 environment. Anyone can play and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes this type of game.

Pelin vahvin puoli on hahmojen kehittäminen. Kun olet teurastanut tarpeeksi pahiksia, sinun täytyy palata kaupunkiin kehittämään hahmosi seuraavalle tasolle.Hahmon kehitys maksaa muutaman kultahipun, josta pääsemmekin pelin seuraavaan addiktiiviseen osa-alueeseen, rahan keruuseen.

Tappamiltasi hirviöiltä löydät joskus vähäsen kultaa, mutta todellisia rahasampoja ovat tavarat, ilman niitä jäät köyhäksi. On kamalaa luopua loitsukirjasta, jonka arvoa ei tiedä, mutta on tehtävä valinta tavaroiden välillä. Kaikkea ei voi pitää itsellä, aina täytyy luopua jostakin saadaksesi tarpeeksi rahaa toisen, ehkä arvokkaamman kaman, tunnistukseen. Mmm, miten ihanaa taktikointia.

Kolmas vahva puoli pelissä on kaveripelaaminen. Kerää kaveriporukka koneesi ääreen ja hahmon luonti voi alkaa. Sitten vain yhdistätte hahmot samaan joukkioon, ja voitte lähteä tunneleiden syvyyksiä tutkimaan... Ja muista, että joukkiossa on helpompi pysyä hengissä!

Luulin, että pelin heikkoihin puoliin kuuluisi sen itsensä toistaminen, mutta olin siinäkin väärässä. Pelin edetessä löytyy aina jotakin uutta ja kiinnostavaa. Kerran luulin jo kyllästyneenikin tähän peliin, mutta sitten huomasin taas ajattelevani vain koneen ääreen palaamista, ja taas se alkoi.

Suuremmitta puheitta, pelatkaa Mordoria! Todellakin yksi parhaista
peleistä näillä sivuilla.

Fřrste gangen jeg spillte Mordor, var jeg nok litt skuffet over grafikken, men frem til da hadde jeg stort sett spillt hjerne-dřde spill hvor grafikken satt i hřy setet. Det lille vinduet med oversikt over gangen du befinner deg i klarer ĺ trykke gjennom enorme mengder med stemning og spenning. Nĺ i ettertid har jeg innsett at jeg syntes det ble vel mye menyer og annet og ta hensyn til, men jeg oppdaget raskt at man trengte dem alle sammen. Grafikken fĺr karakteren 7.

Mordor klarer ikke ĺ hekte deg fra fřrste stund siden de fřrste gangene man gĺr inn i fengselet sĺ mĺ man bare lřpe ut igjen for ĺ restituere seg. Etter hvert som laget ditt blir sterkere begynner spillet og bli mer og mer fengende. Tilslutt har man som meg brukt over 150 timer eller mer pĺ ĺ gĺ ordentlig gjennom de fřrste tre brettene. Gameplay fĺr karakteren 9.

Lyden er kjempe messig synes nĺ jeg. Utrulig mange variasjoner i lyder som de forskjellige dyrene og menneskene utstřter i lřpet av spillet. Lyden fortjener karakteren 9.

Total fortjener dette spillet en nier.

P.S: Personlig har jeg bare spillt demo-versjoen av dette spillet og derfor bare de tre fřrste brettene, men det var sĺpass bra at jeg til slutt endte opp med ĺ bruke rundt 200 timer pĺ ĺ dette spillet. Er nĺ i ferd med ĺ gĺ gjennom de tre fřrste brettene for tredje gang, med nye karer/kvinnfolk.

Detta är ett mycket roligt spel som tillhör genre rollspel. Det är dels för att jag Älskar rollspel och dels för att jag älskar gamla spel som jag tycker att detta är en höjdare. Men det är ett mycket bra spel och bygger pĺ en bra spelide. I detta spel sĺ är du en orädd äventyrare som söker sig ner i grottorna under Dejenol. Där tror man att den onde demonprinsen bor. Pĺ din väg dit sĺ kommer du att möta mĺnga skrämmande saker. Alltifrĺn smĺ kläggiga gelepölar till stora drakar. Du kan dessutom skapa mĺnga karatärer och gĺ in i en grupp med dem. Du kan dessutom köpa och använda besvärjelser pĺ varelser vilket gör att du kan ha dom som vänner och dom slĺss pĺ din sida. Dom kan ocksĺ vara sĺ snälla att dom gĺr med dig frivilligt. Det underliga är att du kan sälja dom dĺ, man det behöver vi inte snacka om nu. Dessutom sĺ kan du fĺ objekt. Det kan vara trolformler eller böcker som är värda miljoner men kan ocksĺ vara saker med förbannelser vilket innebär att dom inte är värda ett piss. Din karaktär kan ocksĺ vara allt ifrĺn en tvĺ fot hög gnom till en ĺtta fot hög jätte. Alltsĺ det ända jag kan komma fram till är att detta spel är fruktansvärt bra.

É um bom jogo. Recomendado para os grandes fans de rpg's. É um pouco complexo, assemelhando-se a AD&D embora tenho um help file bastante extenso e em linguagem acessível. Acaba por se tornar enfadonho após algumas horas de jogo visto que os encontros com montros săo muito repetitivos. Os mapas utilizados săo apenas em ambiente Dungeon. Recomendado para algumas horas de diversăo =p.

Jedna z najbardziej rozbudowanych gier RPG z jakie mozna spotkac. Posiada wszystko co niezbedne tj. kilnanascie dostepnych ras i profesji, ktore mozna dodatkowo ze soba laczyc tworzac superherosa. 30 poziomow podziemi z pewnoscia wystarczy na wiele miesiecy gry, tym bardziej ze gra nie posiada jakiegos konkretnego zakonczenia, mozna grac w zasadzie bez konca, nawet po pokonaniu bossa. Tysiace potworow, tyle samo roznych przedmiotow do znalezienia, imponujaca liczba czarow podzielonych na kilkanascie kategorii sprawia, ze po gre musi siegnac kazdy fan RPG. Grafika nie jest oszalamiajaca, ale rysunki potworow wykonane sa wrecz perfekcyjnie. Muzyka, no coz, poza motywem przewodnim, jest dosyc irytujaca, a mianowicie przy kazdym spotkaniu, walce itp. odtwarzane sa pliki wav. Polecam dla kazdego fana RPG. tombo

Výtečně promakaný RPG/dungeon který kdyby byl někdy graficky přepracován, mohl by vytřít zrak všem současným rádobyRPGkultovních her. Propracovanost jednotlivých povolání a možnost mezi nimi za odpovídající znevýhodnění přestupovat je skvělá a přesto že u hry budete trávit již pětistou hodinu sqělé zábavy, stále budete mít před sebou spoustu nedosažených skillů a kouzel a stále Vás bude něco pohánět dopředu. To něco co je v té hře ukryté je nepopsatelné ale všichni to známe z her jako Dungeon Master I, II či Diablo I,II.
Je to to co Vás nutí si stále říkat: 'Tak ještě todle a už pujdu spát, ale nejdřív si to vyzkoušim jak to funguje v reálu.. a hele za chvíli mám další level, tak ještě ten a už fakt půjdu spát... konečně level, hele teď můžu použít tohle kouzlo, pujdu si ho jenom zkusit a už to vypnu...' atd... až do svítání. Myslím že všem zarytým RPGistům zaplesalo srdce a už klikají na download, protože jestli ne tak jste přišli o HODNĚ, to mi věřte.
