Dazu stehen Ihnen Fahrzeuge wie Eisenbahnen, LKWs, Schiffe und Flugzeuge zur Verfügung, mit denen Sie Waren von dem Ort, an dem sie produziert werden, an einen Ort, an dem sie benötigt werden, liefern. Dafür erhalten Sie einen Lohn, jedoch entstehen Ihnen auch Kosten für den Aufbau und die Erhaltung Ihres Transportnetzes. Außerdem sollten Sie möglichst neue und schnelle Fahrzeuge kaufen, denn die Konkurrenz schläft nicht. Erneuern Sie im Laufe der Zeit Ihren Fuhrpark nicht, werden Ihre Dienstleistungen für mögliche Kunden unattraktiv, und Sie verlieren Aufträge an die Konkurrenz. Zum Glück läßt sich der Schwierigkeitsgrad einstellen. So können Sie auch völlig konkurrenzlos Ihrem Expansionsdrang frönen oder auch gegen einen menschlichen Mitspieler per Null-Modem oder Modem antreten.
Obwohl ein LKW-Imperium relativ einfach aufzubauen ist und obwohl mit Flugzeugen ganz gute Gewinne zu machen sind, liegt der Schwerpunkt bei Transport Tycoon eindeutig auf dem Errichten und Betreiben von Eisenbahnlinien. Ein effektives Schienennetz ist daher schon fast ein Garant für steigende Gewinne. Wem also in seiner Kindheit eine Modelleisenbahn versagt blieb, kann hier alles nachholen. Jeder Zug ist einzeln kontrollierbar (Waggons, Gewinne und Verluste) und kann mit einem individuellen Fahrplan zu den verschiedenen Bahnhöfen geschickt werden. Das Spiel verläuft in 'Echtzeit'. Das bedeutet, daß die Uhr weitertickt, während Sie neue Schienen verlegen oder Fahrpläne erstellen. Ein Spieljahr vergeht so in etwa 15 Minuten auf einem Pentium 133. Sie können jedoch die Pausetaste drücken und dann in aller Ruhe die Konkurrenz studieren oder neue Verkehrswege planen.

This game is definitely th ebest in its category. Neither it's followers (Railroad Tycoon 2 - not an actual sequel, but close enough), nor it's predecessors or games in the same gaming class - economic simulators - cannot compete with this one (of course, this is *my* opinion). Let's look over it's features:
The gameplay - definitely the best ever. The game keeps you focused for more than 100 hours of challenging gameplay, then lets you rest for some other 5 and then brings you the grand finale. The opponents are not as clever as they should be, but they compensate this by number. Hey, don't you recall real world? Oh, did I mention you can break their routes and steal their assets (yeah, cheating, but only if you don't like competition)? So you have it all: your company, your highly detailed statistics, the opponents, lots of cars (actually, no more than 84 cars and 42 planes and 30 ships, but that's more than you can manage anyway and if you feel you need more just give it a try - replacements and cargos and shipments and deliveries and depots and new cars and trains and ... yeah, it's all coming up to your face every second).

The interface - this is what makes this game so great! The interface suits perfectly the gameplay pace - you can find almst everything with a single click; use two for highly detailed infos and maybe three for the hard-gamer options. Transparent buildings? np, one click away. Awesome!

The sound - well, this is another fine-tune of the producers. They've assorted the fine gameplay with tunes ranging from cool jazz to bigband.

The graphics - here is a game that used to shine at it's time, but now it made place to lots of improvement. However, the isometric fake-3d terrain view is impressive and the buildings are highly detailed. The trees are growing, the water is blinking and everything's moving fast. So it's kwl.

So if you wan to give a try to a great (imo greatest) economic sim ever, just try this one. I know it impressed me enough to write this story...

Aaaah... Transport Tycoon Deluxe... que de souvenirs, que de nuits passées sur ce jeu... Mais je préférais la premičre version. Ce jeu vous place qu commandes d'une compagnie de transport entre 1950 et 2050. Votre but sera, évidemment, le contrôle total des transports de la carte. Vos adversaires, męme si ils semblent un peu bizarres, ont aussi compris ce principe... et ça ne va pas vous aider ŕ mettre du charbon dans la chaudičre...

*La locomotive... le graphisme*

Représenté uniquement en 640x480, 256 couleurs, le graphisme est agréable. Les bâtiments sont bien dessinés, et les véhicules suivent la męme logique. On se croirait presque devant des rails miniatures... Mais si, vous savez? Le męme train que vos grand-parents vous avaient offert pour vos 10ans... Non?

Il est ŕ noter que 3 niveaux de zooms sont présents, selon l'échelle de vos (grands) travaux.

*Le charbon de la locomotive... le gameplay*

Ici, tout fonctionne correctement. Les commandes sont apposées au dessus de l'aire de jeu, et tout y est accessible en quelques clics. Et si vous avez trop de fenętres ouvertes, le simple fait d'appuyer sur 'suppr.' permettra de toutes les fermer.

Ici, la logique va primer. Il faudra ŕ chaque fois trouver le chemin le plus court avec le véhicule disposant du meilleur rapport coűts/efficacité/vitesse. En effet, pour des trajets courts, on constate qu'il y a une supériorité des transports routiers et, ŕ l'inverse, les transports les plus longs se feront avec une utilisation conjointe du trafic aérien et ferroviaire. Bien évidemment, de nombreux outils sont ŕ votre disposition et vous pourrez niveler les terrains ŕ votre guise... mais veillez ŕ ne pas vous mettre les autorités sur le dos, auquel cas, toute nouvelle construction serait impossible. Il y a encore bien des choses ŕ dire sur le gameplay, mais ce sont ici des cas typiques qui vous ont été présentés.

Fait ŕ retenir : 4 types de terrains sont ŕ votre disposition, avec des véhicules adaptés directement aux différents environnements.

*En voiture... le son*

Alors ici, pas grand chose ŕ dire. Chaque véhicule a un certain type de sonorité et les musiques sont assez variées. Chose amusante et poussant la ressamblance avec les trains miniatures, ceux du jeu sifflent avant de passer dans un tunnel (quand il s'agit d'une locomotive ŕ vapeur)... Et aussi est-il intéressant que certains bruits s'entendent prčs des fermes... toujours sympathique.

*Et c'est parti... En résumé*

Excellent jeu, il n'y a pas ŕ dire. La difficulté entičrement modulable retire l'excuse de la difficulté ŕ ceux qui n'aiment pas le genre.

Want to own your own train company or a bus one maybe try airplane company?. Well you can do all those plus shipping company. The multiplicity is the plus of this game but lack the in depth management of railway tycoon and games of such gener. U start of the game with a some cash and with some opponent(if you choose so). Then u try to turn the company around by choosing profitable route pour cash and vehichle for transportation into it and watch the money come in. Different vehicle require different collecting and repairing station. Vehicle get better when time passes i mean better models. the vehicles themselves get worst and require replacement and such. If you do well the town you connect get better and larger providing a larger pool of resources. The best vehicle i feel is still train. They might be costly but are more relieable and faster. Make train tracks straight and put them in the center of the town although they cost you a ton. Trucks and bus are slow and they tend to be breakdown in the most unlikely place such as in the middle of train tracks. Ship are okay but slow and require sea port wasted area in my opinion. Plane well they are fast when they are flying but it's the darn landing and take off that terrible if you have more than 4 plane to an airport watch them circle the airport until they crash. But u can't stay on trains forever there is a cap to the number of vehicle of each type so make the best of them. Evil trick :- use slanting tracks infront of opponent building including tracks to block them, they have to reverse when they do repeat the same until it right infront of the station then let them be and watch them lose money each month for maintainence. But once build u cant destroy it so wait and see if the opponent remove them (which is unlikely). Evil trick for trucks and such:- make a road lead them to far away places then remove the road. watch them circle until the opponent realize and come to rescue then u place slanted tracks to prevent the rescue. Mwuah haha. Okay. Graphics a cool changes with prosperity and year. Sound multiple play track if you hate it there is a option to turn it off but not necessary tunes are great. Gameplay can be boring when you are doing to well and waiting for time to pass to see better vehicles. But all in all worth trying and trying again.

From a 'shanty' in the begining to a multilevel office block (with your own parking lot), it all comes together if you manage your finances and assets. In the begining you start with a loan ranging from usually $100 000 to get your buisness off the ground, it is advised to start with buses or trains never planes( this leads to being prematuraly bankrupted).

When you load the game up you are given the option of 4 different terrains, ranging from Flat Desserts to Mountanous Snow slopes to battle it out against multiple competitors all striving to knock you off the top and bury you in dirt and if you cant beat them buy them out. You can even network two computers to battle it out against your best mates.

As the time progresses you are flooded with new options like advanced transporters, and best of all upgraded tracks like monorail and the mighty maglev rail. To give an example of the quality and detail of this game is the
mention that as the vehicles age they become wrecks that constantly break down and in the end need replacing, this is a factor that could make or break your buisness and gives an element of realness to the game.

To sum this game up, it is a quality game written and designed by Chris Sawyer that has many options like charts and buisness stats that keep you moving the whole time. Transport Tycoon ist eine Wirtschaftsimulation die bis Heute ihres gleichen sucht. Du fängst ganz klein an und leist Dir von der Bank ein paar tausende Dollar oder DM. Jetzt sucht man sich eine Route in der Landschaft die einen guten ertrag abgeben wird, wie z.B. ein Kohlebergwerk und ein Kohlekraftwerk. Nun muss die Kohle vom Bergwerk zu dem Kraftwerk gelangen. Dafür gibt es vier unterschiedliche Transport arten: LKWs/Busse, Züge, Schiffe und Flugzeuge. Wenn die beiden Orte nicht all zu weit aus einander sind reichen LKWs aus. Dafür muss erst einmal bei jedem Standort ein LKW Ladeplatz gebaut werden. Diese Ladeplatze müssen natürlich noch über eine Straße verbunden werden. Ist dies erledigt braucht man noch ein LKW Depot wo man die LKW, die für diesen Transport benötigt werden, kaufen kann. Jetzt muss jedem LKW Per klick mit der Maus jeweils der Start und der Zielort zugewiesen werden. Dann kann der LKW losfahren. Dies war wohl die einfachste Verbindung die es gibt, da das Kraftwerk die Kohle verbrennt und keinen weitern Güter herstellt. Es gibt unter anderem Bauernhöfe die Vieh und Getreide produzieren und das dann in Fabriken gebracht werden muss. Diese Fabriken produzieren davon Güter, diese müssen wiederum in die Stadt zum verkauf gebracht werden. Es gibt natürlich noch andere Industriezweige. ´Neben der Industrie gibt es auch noch den Personen Verkehr.
In der Deluxe Version gibt es außerdem noch neben dem 'Normalen Land' noch eine Wüstenversion, eine Schnee/Berge Version und eine Spielzeugland Version. Zu jeder dieser Versionen gibt es nicht nur andere Grafiksets sondern auch andere Industriezweige, die gerade im Spielzeugland sehr witzig sind.
Das schöne an dem Spiel ist, das es eigentlich immer etwas zu tun gibt. Selbst wenn man im Jahr mehrere Millionen scheffelt, findet man immer noch was was man an den Strecken verbessern kann.
Das Spiel hat wirklich Langzeitmotivation!

Leider hat das Spiel von Haus aus ein Problem. Es gibt eine Limitierte Anzahl an Bahnhöfen, was ALLE Verkehrsmittel betrifft. Aber im Internet gibt es eine Lösung. Diese heißt DREXLER PATCH!

Desde mi punto de vista se trata del mejor simulador de una empresa de transportes. Comenzando por destacar que la difucultad del juego es totalmente configurable, la capacidad de diseńar tus propios escenarios y de comprar a las empresas rivales hacen que el juego sea bastante completo. Además incluye el hecho de que las ciudades crecen, se crean nuevos negocios y que tu reputación en la ciudad es variable y cambia en función de las cosas que hagas en ella permite una cantidad de posibilidades que hacen que no halla dos partidas iguales. También cabe destacar que el numero de vehiculos, si bien solo puedes poner autobuses,camiones,trenes(post eriormente maglevs), barcos y aviones, dentro de cada categoria con el tiempo se van abriendo muchos tipos diferentes. Una opción bastante interesante es la de que cuando aparece un nuevo tipo de vehiculo se te ofrece la posibilidad de usarlo en exclusiva durante todo un ańo. La música del juego es bastante variada y permite crearse tu propio repertorio. Como únicas notas negativas desde mi punto de vista son por un lado, el hecho de que no se pueden transportar cargas entre distintas estaciones, sino que solo se pueden cargar en el origuen y llevar al destino, y por otro que el sistema para llevar la carga a traves de un barco puede ser un poco liosa y tediosa al principio al tener que insertar boyas para que encuentre el camino. Con todo es un juego muy recomendable para todos aquellos que deseen pasar un rato entretenidos.

Transport Tycoon, is another product of Microprose with the Tycoon title. There has been made quite a few by this time. According to me Railroad tycoon is so far the best.

The game is a managementgame, based on the daily running of a transport-company, in the ways of route-management and financing. You can transport goods via trucks, trains, airplanes and ships. The longer you play, the more advanced vehicles will show up.

You choose yourself, how many, if any, computer-opponents you want to play against. Generally it is a good idea to start without any, until you got the feel of the game.

You have to supply resources to diverse factories and whatnot located all around the country, and afterwards transport their finished products to the towns for selling.

The biggest problem in Transport tycoon, is the lack of AI. Trucks and trains drive the roads, as it fits them, and that is pretty frustrating. Suddenly you realize that you have a train loosing 200.000 in a year, only to find out later, that it is because it is running on a short distance, somewhere else than it should.

The interface, looks a lot like many other management-games. Most of the action is performed with the mouse and some key-functions.

Grades are given for:

Sound, which is the usual engine-noise and factory-noise.
Graphics, which eg is better in Railroad Tycoon.
Gameplay, which is okay, but again is better in Railroad tycoon.

Afterwards you should play: Railroad tycoon, or if you really liked this style, Industry Giant.

W grze zajmujesz się prowadzeniem przedsiębiorstwa transportowego. Grę zaczynasz w roku 1950 (tu uwaga: najlepiej od razu zbudować siedzibę i stacje w dużych miastach). Gra kończy się (jeœli dobrze pamiętam) w roku 2050. Przez ten czas wszelkie dostępne œrodki transportu (jest ich 7: pojazdy, pocišgi, samoloty i statki) ewoluujš. Ja najczęœciej wybierałem transport kolejowy ze względy na szybkoœć i niezawodnoœć. Przez cały czas gry należy uważać na to, aby właze miast były nastawione przychylnie do nas, ponieważ jeżeli będziemy nielubiani, to nie otrzymamy ziemi pod budowę stacji żadnego typu.

W grze mamy możliwoœć dowolnej konfiguracji przeciwnika. Może on byœ głupi i zwlekać z budowš wszystkiego, a może także być bardzo inteligentny i w dodatku budować szybciej od nas.

Graficzna oprawa gry stoi na wysokim poziomie. Grafika nawet jak na dzisiejsze czasy nie razi, a wręcz zachęca (napewno daleko jej do Industy Giant 2 lub Railroad Tycoona 2, ale należy pamiętać, że gra ma już swoje lata)

Oprawa dŸwiękowa jest również dobra, lecz nie aż tak jak graficzna. Każdy typ pojazdów ma swoje charakterystyczne dŸwięki, lecz muzyka jest zrealizowana starymi metodami (.mid-y) więc jej jakoœć nie jest już zbyt dobra.

Gra moim zdaniem jest godna polecenia każdemu który lubi myœlenie i jest fanem strategii. Również osoby niespecjalnie lubišce gry ekonomiczne znajdš w niej coœ dla siebie ze wzgledu na dużš konfigurowalnoœć przeciwnika. Gra jest wersjš dla Windowsa, więc nie ma z niš problemów w nowszych systemach.

Transport Tycoon Deluxe är ett spel som gĺr ut pĺ att (som namnet säger) transportera varor frĺn en plats till en annan. Du blir VD för ett företag och fĺr en summa pengar som du ska satsa in i rätt transportförbindelser. Du kan köpa lastbilar, bussar, tĺg, flygplan (när du fĺr mer pengar) och även bĺtar. Invĺnarna i städerna ber dig och de andra konkurrerande bolagen om olika tjänster och den som är snabbast med att utföra dem fĺr mer pengar. Man fĺr hela tiden tänka pĺ vilka projekt som är värda att satsa pĺ och vilka man ska strunta i.
Allt eftersom tiden gĺr kan man köpa modernare och snabbare lastbilar, tĺg etc. sĺ att man tjänar mer pengar. Men det kostar förstĺs mera att köpa det bästa!

Man har fyra världar att välja pĺ innan spelet startar. Det finns en vintervärld, en exotisk värld (med djungelskog, bananplantor..), en godisvärld och den vanliga svenska sommarvärlden. Förutom detta sĺ finns det olika banor att spela pĺ med berg, vatten osv. Man kan ocksĺ välja svĺrighetsgrad och hur mĺnga konkurrerande bolag man vill ha. Tack vare valmöjligheterna blir spelet inte lĺngtrĺkigt, utan kan glädja lĺng tid framöver.

Under spelets gĺng kan man köpa upp sina konkurrerande bolag, vilket är en finurlig sak som höjer spelet till ännu högre skyar. När du är tillräckligt rik sĺ kan du ha fullständigt monopol över landet och tjäna ännu mer. Men det är förstĺs inte lika roligt att spela utan motstĺndare – sĺ det är tur att det kostar sĺ mycket att köpa upp ett bolag. Den med en aning sadistiska drag jublar när han inser att man kan förstöra för sina konkurrenter genom att bygga ut vägar och sedan riva dem sĺ att deras transportbilar fastnar och gĺr med förlust.

Spelet är nästintill beroendeframkallande. Mĺnga glada timmar har jag spenderat där, och snart blir det mĺnga fler! Det är helt klart värt att ladda hem om man gillar utmaningar!

The ultimate tycoon game (except for pizza tycoon (sarcasm alert)). This is one of the most comprehensive and involving games ever. The premise is simple sart in a wide open land populated sparsley with few towns all far away from each other and with the 50,000 the mad bank manager lent you start building a network of transport till you rule planet earth. Or just play with the trains lol. The best vehicle in the game is the train as this can make you the most money is the most reliable and also besides planes is the quickest. The reliablility of vehicles changes over time and also has different starting levels every time you start a new game. As time goes on you get access to more vehicles, the towns grow bigger and new businesses pop up all over the screen. As has been said in most of the other reviews the ai can leave a lot to be desired when it is building anything, with the stupidist road/track layuouts ever and these can block you from building your roads/tracks in a decent direction (my advice tunnel under them). There are lots of cool features like advertising, building statues oif yourself and monopolising transport in the towns (especially funny if the opponent has a huge system running from the town where you have 1 bus, watch that bus make ineffecient money ;-) ). There are many semi cheating ways to beat the computer if you've had enough of it blocking you.
1. If the computer is making serious money with a bus between towns find a part of the road outside the town which the bus HAS to go past. Build a railway depot facing the road, build one piece of track across the road (you should see a level crossing appear). Buy the crappest and cheapest train there is. Let it out if the depot and stop it in the middle of the road (so the lights of the level crossing are on). And viola the bus waits patiently for train to move. After a time the computer cant even get the bus back to replace it lolol.
@. If you and the computer are going for the same subsidy but the computer will beatyou to it build railway track around his stations or in front of where he is trying to build track he will try to go around but if oyu keep blocking him he'll eventually give up.
Now remember these are powers of the darkside and not to be used often but if you've whipped the game with mundane tactics you can always have a laugh with these.

Transport Tycoon, er endnu et Microprose produkt med tycoon titlen. Der er efterhĺnden lavet nogle stykker. Railroad Tycoon er ifřlge mig indtil videre det bedste.

Spillet er et management-spil hvor du skal styre et transportfirma, bĺde hvad gćlder ruteplanlćgning og finansiering. Du kan transportere via Lastbiler, toge, fly og skibe. Jo lćngere du kommer ud i fremtiden, jo mere avancerede bliver disse transportmidler.

Du vćlger selv hvor mange computermodstandere du vil have. Generelt er det en god ide at starte op uden nogle, indtil man begynder at fĺ grebet om spillet.

Du skal sřrge for ressourcer til diverse fabrikker og lignende rundt om i landet, og der efter transportere deres fćrdige produkter indtil byerne for at de kan blive solgt.

Det střrste problem i Transport tycoon er den stćrkt manglende AI. Lastbiler og toge křrer som det passer dem og det er temmelig frustrerende. Du opdager pludselig at et tog křrer med et underskud pĺ 200000 pĺ et ĺr, for senere at finde ud af at det er forbi det křrer frem og tilbage pĺ en kort rute, men ikke der hvor det skulle.

Interfacet minder om sĺ mange andre management-spil. Det meste foregĺr med musen og funktionstasterne.

Karaktererne er givet for:
Lyden: som er det sćdvanlige motorstřj og fabrikslarm.
Grafikken: som findes bedre i feks railroad Tycoon.
Gameplayet: Der er udmćrket men igen findes bedre i Railroad Tycoon.

Bagefter skal du spille: Railroad Tycoon eller hvis du virkelig godt kunne lide denne stil, Industry Giant.

Este juego es MUY BUENO, es todo un clásico, en el area de juegos de negocios.

Tema: Eres un magnate de los transportes, tanto por tierra (autobuses, camiones ... ), mar (barcos, ...) y aire (avionetas, aviones, etc...). Pero no te preocupes, no se queda ahí, puedes elegir entre unir ciudades y hacer campańas de marquetin para que la gente utilice tus transportes, o bien dedicarte a proveer fabricas con materias primas, o ambas, o transporte de bienes manufacturados, ... infinidad de posibles estrategias a seguir. Un magnifico juego, creeme

Graficos: Muy buenos, pierden si te intentas acercar demasiado a la acción, pero eso no es necesario, ya que a la distancia estandar la accion se aprecia a la perfección. Los detalles también están muy conseguidos, con esos cochecitos haciendo cola en los semaforos, y los camiones que llegan vacios a las fábricas y salen cargados cada uno de su mercancía en concreto.

Sonido: La calidad en cuanto a sonido es excelente, se puede elegir entre varias músicas de fondo, a cual más pegadiza, con sólo un par de partidas te encontraras tarareandolas en cualquier parte, realmente una parte imprescindible del juego.

Jugabilidad: Si te gustan los juegos de negocios, te recomiendo este encarecidamente, te mantendrá enganchado, ya que no es el típico juego de construye unas cuantas cosas y observa como tu dinero crece, ofrece muchas más posibilidades, como concursos de popularidad entre diferentes empresas, estatuas del empresario querido en uina ciudad, y una parte que a mi me parece lo mejor, la parte de innovación, empezaras en los ańos 20 con unos autobuses de mala muerte, y puedes acabar en ni se sabe que ańo, con aviones supersónicos, hovercrafts, etc ...

Resumen: BAJATELO YA !!!!!!!!! Es un gran juego, yo he estado ańos, jugando y volviendo a jugar uno de mis juegos preferidos en este tema, y no sólo mio, sino de mis conocidos. Sin duda un juego que te recomiendo totalmente

man kan godt spille over LAN i dette spil dette spil, men man kan kun vćre to spiller om det adgangen, det er lidt trist for det er meget sjovt at spille multiplayer i det, og jeg vil gerne have mere end to spiller i det.

Dnes už existuje jen málo starších a legendárních her, které nebyly překonány. Ačkoliv s tím někdo nebude souhlasit, Civilization byla pokořena hrou Civilization: Call to Power, legendární Doom byl překonán Dukem, ten byl zase pokořen všemožnými Unrealy a Quaky. Takto by šlo pokračovat déle, avšak jednou z mála her, jež stále sedí na pomyslném trůnu ve svém žánru, je Transport Tycoon (TT). Ačkoliv TT vyšel před šesti lety, stále dokáže přilepit hráče k monitoru a odlepit ho až ve chvíli, kdy mu začne stávkovat žaludek a močový měchýř.

První, co na TT upoutá, je to, že byl jednou z prvních her nacházejících se na CD. Po instalaci hry na vás vykoukne jednoduché menu, v jehož pozadí se prohánění autobusy, vlaky, letadla a lodě. Po navolení základních pravidel (počet oponentů, obtížnost, poměr oceánu a pevniny, ale i takové detaily jako to, jestli auta budou jezdit na pravé či na levé straně) se hráč ocitne v rozsáhlé a náhodně generované mapě. Na ní jsou roztroušeny desítky měst a továren, jenž čekají, až je hráč vzájemně propojí všemožnými dopravními prostředky. Po cestách samozřejmě jezdily autobusy a nákladní auta. Cesty však byly postaveny pouze ve městech, a tak hráč musel investovat mnoho dolarů (případně liber - na začátku jste si mohli vybrat z pětice světových měn) k jejich vybudování. Drahou železnici si hráč musel kompletně vybudovat sám, a tak se nejvhodnější zdála doprava letecká. Na začátku hry v roce 1930 měla letadla velice malou kapacitu a každou chvíli trpěla nějakou poruchu. Navíc hráč vstupoval do hry s půjčenými sto tisíci dolary. Jedno letadlo přitom stálo třiatřicet tisíc, k tomu připočtěte deset tisíc za jedno letiště. Proto se zdálo být vhodné investovat do letecké dopravy až ve chvíli, kdy jste vydělali první milión a letadla byla už alespoň trochu moderní. Posledním druhem dopravy byly loďky a to jednak nejrůznější tankery, tak i lodě převážející stovky lidiček dychtících po cestě do jiného města.


Nyní bylo zapotřebí vyřešit problém, jak se stát milionářem. První variantu představovala přeprava cestujících. Pomocí velice dobře vymyšlených grafů si hráč mohl zjistit, že přeprava lidiček není zrovna nejvýnosnější. Lepší bylo přepravovat jednu z mnoha komodit. Každá továrna měla limit, který určoval, jaká je maximální měsíční produkce. Nejlepší řetězec byl les - pila - město. V lese jste naložili dřevo a s tučným ziskem prodali na pile. Pila vyráběla zboží, které nakupovalo každé město. Pokud měla pila dostatek dřeva, zvýšila měsíční těžbu, a tudíž jste mohli do měst dovážet více zboží a tedy i více profitovat. Továren a komodit byla spousta (uhlí: důl - elektrárna, pošta: město - jiné město, peníze: banka - jiná banka, potom jste mohli obchodovat s obilím, ropou a ještě s dalšími komoditami), takže ani po týdnu hraní TT, narozdíl od dnešních pětiset megových her, neomrzel.

Cestu k bohatství komplikovali počítačoví oponenti, jejichž inteligence závisela na zvolené obtížnosti. Na hard to byla docela makačka, oponenti stavěli železnice a cesty ďábelským tempem a nejvíce naštvalo, když byl oponent rychlejší než vy. Jednou za čas se totiž objevila nabídka, která nabízela první dopravní společnosti, která bude převážet lidi z města A do města B, lukrativní nabídku - rok budou její zisky na dané trase o padesát procent větší. Taktéž nabízely výhodné ceny i továrny, takže se pořád něco dělo, a proto se vám vůbec nemohlo stát, že byste u TT usnuli.

S postupujícím vědeckým pokrokem jste si mohli koupit dopravní prostředky lepší a lepší. Zvětšovala se kapacita, rychlost a samozřejmě i cena. Kolem roku dva tisíce byly k dispozici dokonce vlaky na vzduchovém polštáři jedoucí rychlostí kolem dvě stě padesát kilometrů v hodině. Přes zálivy, řeky a jezera jste mohli postavit jeden z mnoha typů mostů. Samozřejmostí bylo výškové upravování terénu, dokonce jste si mohli vysadit vlastní stromky.

Realismus byl v TT vyřešen na jedničku. Ve hře se nepohybovala žádná auta ani ťapkající lidé, prostě nic. Ulice byly pusté a kromě projíždějících autobusů hráče a oponentů zely prázdnotou. To se může zdát jako mínus, ale když jsem před týdnem na mém monitoru pozoroval několikadenní dopravní zácpu v Traffic Giantovi, tak si říkám, že to autoři TT vymysleli skvěle. Jinak bylo realistické všechno. Všechny vláčky, autobusy, lodě a letadla více méně existují i ve skutečnosti. Škoda jen, že se letadlo vypadající jako Concord jmenovalo úplně jinak (když jsem u toho Concordu, velice často padal - autoři dokonce předpověděli budoucnost :o)). Města se, stejně tak jako ve skutečnosti, postupně zvětšovala, a nabídla tedy i více lidiček. A čím mělo město více lidí, tím jich i více cestovalo. A tak jste například museli zbourat jednokolejové nádraží a místo něho postavit nádraží vícekolejové. Proto mohlo vláčků přijíždět více a vy jste bohatli a bohatli. Co bylo na TT někdy až moc realistické, byly dopravní nehody. To se vám takhle srazil vlak s autobusem, nastal menší výbuch a peklo spolu s nebem mohly oslavovat příliv nových zákazníků. Při nehodách totiž zahynuli úplně všichni, avšak na vaší pověsti se to nijak nepodepsalo.

Konec hry nastal v případě, že vaše bankovní konto kleslo pod nějaký ten miliónek. Druhá varianta konce hry byla mnohem veselejší. Konec hry nastal v roce 2030 (hra se tedy odehrávala v rozmezí sta let), kdy jste se zapsali do tabulky nejvyšších skóre. Ve hře se dalo pokračovat i po roce 2030, avšak z vlastní zkušenosti vím, že bylo lepší začít od znova s větší obtížností a s větším počtem oponentů.

Každá hra, ať už sebelepší, má více či méně chyb. TT měl jednu obrovskou - vedlejší účinky na zdraví a psychickou návykovost. Zdravotní problémy vyskytující se při hraní TT byly dosti závažné. Konkrétně se jedná o nespavost, dehydrataci, křeče v žaludku, bolest v zádech, zarudlé oči a obrovská bolest v prstech ruky, která drží myš. Příčinu těchto komplikací lze vidět v tom, že hráč si vybudoval psychickou závislost, a proto musel hrát sedm dní v týdnu od rána do večera. Zkušení hráči však ví, že tyto komplikace lze pevnou vůlí překonat :o). Ale teď vážně. TT byl bez sebemenší chybičky, a proto je strašná škoda, že mnoho hráčů tuto skvělou hru nezná. Většinu starších, avšak zábavných a originálních her si už dnes nikdo nezahraje, protože mají hnusnou grafiku a hudbu, která trhá uši. TT je opět výjimkou. Na SVGA grafiku v rozlišení 680x480 v 256 barvách se dá dívat bez ujmy na zdraví i dnes. Pro pohodovou jazzovou hudbu platí totéž. K tomu přidejte možnost zahrát si s kamarády po síti. Opět zdůrazňuji, že TT vyšel před šesti lety...

A logical step on from Transport Tycoon, one of the best simulation games ever, and the best game from Microprose after Civilization, Transport Tycoon Deluxe is essentially Transport Tycoon with the Scenario Editor, four landscapes to choose from, and some added gameplay options (such as the ability to buy shares in your opponents' companies).

The graphics are stunning for such an old game, and Transport Tycoon ran perfectly well on my old 486 (I now have a Duron 900, so I have no problems running this game now:) ). Gameplay is excellent, though the AI has an annoying tendency to build weird-looking and incredibly inefficient railway lines (as in almost twice as long as any human player would build for the same trip). Their placement for airports isn't too great either, but they always manage to get very high ratings for cargo acceptance.
A problem that I've discovered is that, with several opponents, you can't build a decent-sized network, as there is a maximum of approximately 600 vehicles (including train carriages) allowed in the game (double-headed trains and planes count as 2).

As for sound, I've never managed to get the soundtrack working, but I really enjoy the vehicle sounds included with the game (especially the train whistles;) ).

Overall, slightly flawed by AI issues and (necessary) limitations, but a game that is far better than any of the more modern efforts in this basic genre that I've ever seen. A must have in any abandonware collection!

Un autentico juegazo. Para mi es el mejor juego de estrategia en lo que se refiere al tema de direccion de una empresa.Creo que actualmente, ningun juego supera las posibilidades de este juego. Uno de sus mejores aspectos es la jugabilidad, pues la variedad de transportes que puedes crear y comprar, la variedad de rutas que puedes hacer, la cantidad de cosas que puedes hacer para crear una autentica empresa en el sector de transportes.Ademas, uno de sus puntos fuertes es la evolucion de los transportes segun el ańo en que nos encontremos, eso obliga tambien a renovar el material si es que queremos estar a la ultima y obtener asi las mejores prestaciones para nuestra carga.Es un juego que pocos defectos se pueden sacar,pero aun asi los hay.Uno es que si ya has jugado mucho, sabes perfectamente como poder tener controlada a la maquina,lo que reduce a posteriori la jugabilidad del juego.Otro aspecto negativo es que no te deja mantener el control de revisiones segun el estado de la maquina o medio de transporte,sino que tiene que ser una revision por dias...aunque asi se consigue algo mas de realismo y dificultad.Bueno yo creo que esta todo dicho sobre un juego que pese a si edad, sigue teniendo jugadores adictos por todo el mundo.

Wenn man das spiel das erste mal spielt, fällt einem zuerst die grafik auf. Die ist zwar schon recht betagt, aber sie ist ganz in der manier gestaltet wie auch bei den anderen tycoon-spielen (z.B. rollercoaster tycoon) eben auch. Die bedienung ist ebenfalls ähnlich gestaltet wie bei rollercoaster tycoon, jedoch sind die vielen offenen fenster, vor allem wenn ma etwas baut und gleichzeitg etwas anderes beobachtet, manchmal echt unübersichtlich und es wirkt stellenweise überladen.
Um in die spielpraxis hineinzufinden, sind die tutorials keine schlechte idee, sie weisen aber eben nur in die grundfunktionen ein und manches muss eben auch selbst erspielt werden.
Der sound folgt ebenfalls der manier mancher tycoon spiele, deswegen muss man milde ausgedrückt sagen das er unter aller kanone ist.

Der sinn des spieles besteht in erster linie darin, (viel) geld zu verdienen. Gemacht werden kann das, indem man sich ein kleines unternehmen aufbaut und eben transporte jedweder art übernimmt und versucht diese gutmöglichst zu arrangieren . das heißt es muss geplant werden und organisiert, und es müssen jedem ort die richtigen fahrzeuge vorhanden sein.

alles in allem ein wirklich gutes spiel , das eben durch sein gameplay überzeugt und net mit grafik klotzen muss. es wird jedem sicher einige stunden oder sogar tage voller guter unterhaltung bieten.

This game is one of the best tycoon games of all. I even daresay that it is the best!

You have an excellent control on each and every vehicle that you have in your company. Furthermore, the planning of route of each vehicle can be done easily, unfortunate this process has to be repeated on each vehicle.

In competing with other companies, you can buy them out by getting a monopoly from a city! You can also do all sorts of tricks to make sure that they don't get to earn money in peace. Hey, it's business! :)

Other than that, you could get extra cash when you can send a particular kind of goods to certain town and get a one year bonus for all items!

All in all, you get to influence the growth of towns and other businesses as you play on. As time goes on, you not only will witness the growth of towns, but also, you'll get newer and newer toys to play with. ;)

The best modes of transport in this game is train, it will help you earn the most money! The downside is that you will have to build tracks... and once new technologies become available, you might have to replace the railroad tracks with maglev tracks. A very demanding effort! But well worth the trouble ;)

In conclusion, this game has very high replayability. It's more than a train sim, and more than miniature vehicles. It's a survival of the fittest ;)

Railroad Tycoon , A-train och Simcity. Nĺgot frĺn varje värld kan man säga.

Spelet - Du startar ĺr 1950 och ska försöka bygga ett sĺ bra transport nätverk
som möjligt. Du känner till ide´n sen innan säkert, förflytta gods frĺn
ena stället till det andra medan du ska försöka fĺ en sĺ bra ekonomi du kan.
Här har du däremot ingen möjlighet att snabba upp tiden som i Sim City sĺ
saker och ting tar sin tid men du har fullt upp och kommer inte att fĺ trĺkigt!
