I've have now several times experienced, that the gameofthehour page isn't consistant with the one being showed on the frontpage. This has the effect that it isn't possible to download the game since you get a error if you try.

I've tried with both Firefox and IE

This error does occur sometimes and is due to the way (in part) in which the game is updated on an hourly basis... for example, it is a quarter to the hour now and it is working fine... but the nearer it gets to the top of the hour the more likely there could be a problem since it is updating both the page and game available.

Umm, I hope that made sense!

If you do have problems, make a note of the time and also see when you don't have problems. If you have problems regardless then let us know and we'll check it out.

Hi folks,

I don't know if this problem is known (I couldnt find a thread) but sometimes the link from game of the hours is going to another game.
For example today I wanted to read the review of Bloodstone which was Game of the Hour but I came to a quit different download link and review (I think it was "Another World"), a game from interplay 2 years before?

this happens also in the past. One time with Legend of kyrandia2 and another game (forget the name).

EDIT: Addition the same thing happend again. Now it is 24:00 CET the game of the hour is uncharted Waters, when I am goiong to the download button the game Railroad Tycoon Deluxe is updated...

I can't download game of an hour, it isn't working properly. Moderators, do something!
For example, I tried to download Terminator and later game, Mordor, but link was to the High Seas Trader.

Thats right, for me it happens today: when I tried to download Terminator or later game, it gives me previous game link, something is wrong with that.

i tried but it is working...
then my connection is down..
and i tried again it didn't work again..
i tried 20 times...

now it is working..now you can try again...

it is okay...there is no problem now.i can't download...

I have tested a couple of Game of the Hour downloads and found that although the name of the archive is sometimes obscure, you still end up with the correct game.

I will continue testing but if anyone else has further issues with Game of the Hour, please post in this thread.

well not sure ever fall fer that problem before.. but view of the games get hang in the middle of playing.. can anybody give me advice..
for example:
Knight of the Xentar..
it allways get stuck and hang everytime I reach the same point..

RE: Your game problems -
If you have any problems with the games here, chances are very high that someone else has already had the same problem. You can usually solve most game problems by searching for the game in the International Games Technical Help Center Forum and reading through the thread that you find.
For example: your problem with Knights of Xenthar has already been discussed in this thread.
In this case there seems to be a sound bug in the game that causes it to freeze (for Win XP users). It also tells that you can get around the problem by disabling the sound for this part of the game.
You didn't say which other games you were having trouble with, but if you would like some solutions could you please look in the Tech help forum first, and then post in that forum if you can't see your problem listed anywhere.

Could we please leave this thread for Game of the Hour Problems only - anything posted in this thread that is not related to Game of the Hour problems will be deleted without warning

Another bug (or strange behaviour) about the Game of the Hour to report is, that it appears as if more ore less the same games re-appear again and again as a game of the hour, perhaps there is something wrong with the random number feature which selects the game.

It's normal, all games are not in the pool of "games of the hour". Maybe this pool is a bit too short and we should add games, but it's not a bug (if i understood the problem ).
