(For Windows Version)When I make my own puzzle and test-run it, the program shuts down! When I try to save it, the same thing happ ens! I tried re-installing it, changing its memory allocation and some other stuff I can't remember, but nothing works!

System Specifications:
Intel Celeron 133Mhz
Windows 95
Sound Blaster Pro
GeForce 2 Video Card
64MB RAM

Why not but where CONFIGURATION FILES and SAVED GAMES etc would land ?

Simply UNZIP the TIM directory (aka FOLDER) -without forgetting to click on the "USE FOLDER NAME" OPTION- somewhere into your hard disk but not too deep (folder imbrication)
Example for a PC + 2 HDD : D:\Games\TIM

Read you soon wink.gif

Im kind of new to this type of working so please excuse my ignorance.

I downloaded the files for incredible machines 3 and ran the setup file from the .zip

It ran and i did the test, it failed at the cd speed test.

I cannot get the setup to run again, and dont really know what to do when it does run, as it thinks that it is on a cd.

The tim directory wont run the game either

By the way i run a new copy of xp

Any help would be great

The W2K doesn't have a win98 compatibility mode, but it has a 95/NT4-mode, click here. You should try it.

I had no problems on running the TIM3 with sounds, because I have a SB AWE64 Gold ISA PnP shich doesn't need any drivers except the DirectSound.

Okay, I downloaded it. And it doesn't work. It worked in my old computer (Win 95), but on my new Windows XP it doesn't work. What can I do? I suppose that other XP users have encountered the same problem.

EDIT you should stop dealing dope (and using).
Because of this, you've missed the existing topic and so you've not posted in... => thread merged ;28

Oh, yes I had the same problem. You right click the Autorun file, go to propreties, compatibility and you set it in compatibility mode for Win 95 and you check "run in 256 colors" then press OK. That should do the trick.

Anime series that I'm looking for ATM:
-Shaman king episodes 25 and up
-Yu-Gi-Oh! eps. 49 and up
-Sailor Moon eps. 4 and up
For any information about where I could directly download them, PM me. Don't waste your time posting, it's so illegal it'll be deleted right away. biggrin.gif

I have Win2000Pro, and i have downloaded, and i have just downloaded The Incredible Machine 3.0.
And know i want to play it, strangely enough.
But it want let me. First, i Installed it, as properly i could, though i could not run the CD-Rom Test, bye Obvious reasons.
But it was installed, and it directed me to the .exe file, that should launch the game. But all the happens, is that it ask's for a CD... Which i don't have.
How do i solve this problem? What can i do?
I would be very pleased, tp get some good answers, and please.. If you would like, to give me an step-by-step, guide, i would be very glad. I have tried to read, some other threads at this forum, but i dont understand half of it... I come from Denmark, so my English is limited...

Why don't you simply go here because there's already thread asking about this. Also take a look at the 'To Look' threads at the top of theTechnical Help page, and always do a search first before starting a new thread about a particular game. smile.gif

Oh, goodness, I've just realised that you mentioned reading others... basically, as far as I can see, you need to just unzip the game into a folder without running setup... I'll test it out...

Just like it said in the first thread.

1. Unzip the game into a folder called TIM. (Make sure your unzipper keeps the file structure when unzipping, so you get the same folders as when it was zipped)

2. Go to the folder TIMWIN, and run TIMWIN.exe. If you are running XP, then put the file into 98 compatibility, and 256 colour.

biggrin.gif At first I couldn't get the sound to work, and then I realised I had my speakers turned off.

But seriously. I don't know whether this would solve the problem, but have you looked at the link for getting 95 compatibility with Win 2000...?

Also, another issue may be your sound card. I have a Creative card, and that may be the reason it works with no issues. Take a look at 'TIMWIN/SOSLIB.INI', there's a list of supported sound drivers.

If you have a rather odd brand of sound card, it may just not work at all.
