Fellow oldgamers, we have a problem.
The problem is the size of abandongames. What I mean is that a increasingly big part of abandongames are CD games, some even have multiple CD's. Although CD-rip is often possible, it sometimes removes too much of the game, especially when videos or speech are being ripped from the game. The solution is already here, it just hasn't been implemented yet. We have many p2p networks, the best for this purpose would be either torrent or ed2k. Now all we need is someone who would have the necessary skills to create a new generation abandonware site. I myself don't have the skills or the time to do this, but I would be ready to contribute by offering CD-images, and also my computer is almost 24/7 connected to either torrent or ed2k networks, sometimes even both, so I can also host some of these images.

I finally got my hands on this one couple of days ago and was baffled by that there's not a word about this one one this forum. The game is just like good old settlers 2, only better, much better actually.
The only thing I dislike are the new graphics. They're not bad, it's just that I liked the old sprite based graphics more. Anyways, if you liked settlers 2 you gotta try this one. I assure you, you're gonna love it.

I finally got my hands on the CHD file for area 51, but now I have a problem. The game starts fine, but after about 20 mins of playing the sound becomes distorted (just cracks and bleeps) and while after that the game CTD. This doesn't happen in any part of the game, instead, it's time related (hope someone understands that phrase).
I'm running the game with MAME32 on computer with: Epox motherboard AMD Athlon XP 3000+ Realtek AC97 NVidia 6600GT Windows XP Pro SP1 I'm using the mouse to emulate lightgun for pl1 and keyboard for pl2. Suggestions anyone?

I downloaded and installed Clue 2 from underdogs. After installation I run the game and everything went well, except for few minor graphic glitches. I read through the tutorials and started a game, during the first turn, the game CTD'd and gave a access violation error. After that the game won't run, it gives the same access violation error everytime I try to start it.
I'm running on WinXP home.

I'm lookin for this game, it is possible that it is a conversion from board game. In the game you are with a sailing ship, possibly the movement was controlled by a dice roll. It also had battles against forts, which were played by dice rolls. The game was in dominator 1 collection CD and it was a full version, so it propably is freeware. If someone has list of dominator 1 games, I might be able to find it from the list. Oh, and the graphics we're 640x480.
