Quite simply is man involuting or evoluting?

What do you think?

Are our ancestors apes?, swinging from trees?

Or are our children going to be swinging from trees?

Hey just because we loved swinging from trees as a children does this mean we have come from apes or are we becoming apes or is it just what we have been told?

Is microsoft destroying old games?

I have got a concern.

For me i have a strong dislike for IBM (microsoft) ever since they put (CBM) commodere buisness machines and it's crew out on the streets and out of buisness on 29/4/94.

That i myself and a whole heap of others, that as time goes on and with each new windows installment, playing,emulating or getting old games from the past to run on their home pc's is becoming a nightmare, (microsoft destroying old games).:mad:

If it were not for emulation programs from the independant electronically talented, we and i myself (old dogs from the gaming past) would not have bought a modern day pc.

To me whats the use of one?, if it can't do what they used to in the past?, (run old games).

Have you also noticed microsoft dosn't do "F" all to support old games? (a call for action i believe).

You know what microsoft can do with their windows "new" (Non supportive oldgames) vista in my books!!.

To me, emulation is a art form.

May i add that if one looks into history one will find that this ancient symbol that they all worship at this society which has its modern day origins in yale and ivy league for it's carefully selected members is none other than the same deaths head symbol nazi totenkopf adopted during the nazi regime or more commonly known as the order of death or the death's head legion, or is it not?

Why does it appear we have become ignorant to history and we are supporting these criminals after all the atrocities that have happened in our past?, why also does it appear that we have let these nazi's back into power?.

Are our minds cabbage we do not understand powerfull symbols when there shown to us?

To me this dosen't look like a table tennis or beer drinkers club, these fanatics are deadly serious and are not screwing around, they have a world to seize and their prestigious futures have all been paved from the criminal activities of the global elite at the top to all the way down to their parents and alike, their wealth?, from none other than the accumulation of nazi gold through banking and genocide.

To my understanding they are war criminals awaiting trial or am i wrong?, they are just our peace loving leaders maybe and we should all aspire to becoming a member like them so we too can be cool like them and make non members fear us due to it's illegal secrecy?

TOPIC: Growing up as kid's with violent video games. Are they dangerous to children?

When i was a kid in the eighties there wasnt much back then in the way that you would call violence in games like there is today on my old systems i grew up with.

It wasnt till later on did i discover arcades like double dragon, Blood storm, street fighter, final fight and a few others were totally cool due to the violence depicted in them as a kid.

I totally loved violent games as a kid and so did all my mates back then who i used to play with too.

I dont ever remember ever re-enacting the violence i seen from these games back then, And as concerned as our parents were for us not to play them some way or other we found ways to get back to the arcades and continue the computer violence these games were made for.

One game my parents hated me playing was double dragon as it was one of the coolest games back then when i was a kid.
My mum kept going on about the fact that woman were in it being bashed up too along with the hordes of gangs that you could use various weapons to take out.

She must of thought i was going to grow up into a woman basher or some thug on the street if she let me play that game and told me not to hang around my friends who's parents let them play them games back then.

I used to lie constantly to my parents about my where abouts after school as me and my mates hit the arcades to continue playing these awesome games as we thought back then.

Not long after that game came out did i see a segment on the news about double dragon, the violence and the children hooked on playing it.

The news only showed a scene from the game where a chick got kneed in the stomach then carried off on the shoulder of one of the gang members in the game.

They made the game out to be worse than it actually was and asked "is there too much violence in video games of today and why are our kids playing them".

Well soon again after that double dragon and double dragon 2 mysteriously disappeared from the arcade where we grew up as kids but street fighter remained it wasn't as cool as double dragon but we wasted hundreds of dollars on that title too.

I mean twenty years later im a parent now and have grown up playing violent video games all my life from double dragon to blood and duke nukem on the pc and now grand theft auto series of today and ive never displayed any acts of violence towards woman, animals or people because of it.

I at the moment am having trouble with my ex girlfriend and our kid because she like my mum When i was a kid believe violent games are going to make my eight year old boy grow up into a thug on the street like depicted in grand theft auto.

God i mean wake up ive heard this all my life, It's just a game and not real as we as kids realised and so does my boy.

I mean have i done wrong in letting him play the game?, But then he tells me all his friends at school are playing it.

Remembering my childhood i feel like im depriving him of a basic necessity of growing up and now tell him ok boy you got 20 min to play it but dont tell your mum.

God i feel like a criminal the way my ex goes on who never grew up with computers all her life like i did thats half the reason we broke up because we cant relate to each others up bringing.

I mean its hard, My boy absolutley loves the game as i did double dragon back then when i was his age, And we grew up fine, I still keep contact with mates from back then and we all sit and talk about the times our parents went off at us for playing violent games and we all got familys now and nothing violent has happened because of it.

I mean im only speaking from my experience of over twenty years with growing up with violence in games and have seen little in the way it affects people's mannerisms because of them.

Am i alone in this topic?.

Or are there people out there with different views from there experiences with these games, Please tell us what you Believe or have seen with this topic.

Ever gotten game rage and broke something over it? what game was it?

Ive never been a violent person usually but i can remember raging out on a few games before.

I particularly remember a incident i had with an old game on the C64 last ninja 1 when i was a kid.

Because there was a lot of jumping in it i couldnt get past this one spot and kept dying.

I dont know what it was but lucky those old consoles were built fairly sturdy and only a couple of buttons came of and didnt break the whole thing.

I once was at a friends place a year ago who i hook machines up with and i thought that he was fairly passive guy until i seen his old keyboard with a huge hole in it with springs and broke off keys lying around his floor.

I asked what happened man that F***** game, I cant remember which one he use to play but god it was funny.

Has any one had a similar experiance?
