Ive never been a violent person usually but i can remember raging out on a few games before.
I particularly remember a incident i had with an old game on the C64 last ninja 1 when i was a kid. Because there was a lot of jumping in it i couldnt get past this one spot and kept dying. I dont know what it was but lucky those old consoles were built fairly sturdy and only a couple of buttons came of and didnt break the whole thing. I once was at a friends place a year ago who i hook machines up with and i thought that he was fairly passive guy until i seen his old keyboard with a huge hole in it with springs and broke off keys lying around his floor. I asked what happened man that F***** game, I cant remember which one he use to play but god it was funny. Has any one had a similar experiance? I was playing Fallout Tactics in the Tough Guy mode, (for the ones who don't know the game tough guy mode allows you to get double XP when you kill enemies, the bargain is that you can't save during missions).
Imagine how frustrating can be seeing your entire squad being fragged by a single bad ass super mutant armed to the teeth after four hours of playing when everything was going smoothly. If somebody did not stop me i could have broken in half my keyboard. ;DL104 --------------------

When I was a kid I'd visit my cousin, and all his atari contollers had broomstick handles. My uncle Bob would never say anything if he was pissed at a game, he'd just snap that plastic handle right off. So...broomstick handles.

When I was a kid, still plying with C=64, every time I got mad to a game (happened a lot back then, now I'm a peaceful person, really) I used to pound the joystick to the floor. The result was that I never had working joystick, until I modified a TAC-2 so it could take as much beating as 8 year old could offer.
Also, few years back, my friend tried to get his NVidia to work. He had the computer case on his table and after couple of hours the side panel of the computer box was bent so bad you couldn't get it back to it's place. I couldn't watch what he was doing, but I bet that computer took quite a lot of beating. Why is it BTW that monitor, keyboard or the mouse always takes the beating, when the real reason is inside the case? (OK, actually it's between the chair and desk but noone ever admits that.) |
