there are some pretty graphic images in waxworks but as they're only stills they seem pretty tame by todays standards.

hmmmm, lets not forget Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2, then the Grand Theft auto series. Postal is very violent for no good reason, not a bad thing though.

Check out Painkiller for the PC sometime if you want to see some heavy duty violence! Nailing monsters to walls and completely blowing them up is just part of the fun!

I think many games are most violence
Super Mario .... Mario jump in enemy head
Zelda .... link kill enemy
Residen evil, doom, duke nukem, can kill enemy brutally..

So may you show me which games with no violence beside tetris?

Yeah, Transport Tycoon. And if you're talking 'pure' video games (I.E. Console games), they made it for Playstation, so I think that ought to count.

No violence in Transport Tycoon???
Then what about loading 2 passenger trains full of people and crashing them together? Or putting 10 or 20 busses full of people on railroad tracks and running over them with slow steam engine? just imagine what those people have to go through watching the locomotive coming at them with no chance of escaping.

But for most violent game, my vote goes for Soldier of Fortune, it was the first computer game that was designed to make wounds look as realistic as possible.

Most unnecessary violence goes to Carmageddon, you just had to drive over those people with no good reason and body harvest topped it all.
